NEC DSX Version 3.2 features six major Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and NEC IntraMail Voicemail enhancements. Below we will explore the first three major NEC System VoIP enhancements. My Day as a Teltek Technician

Officially, my title is Marketing Associate/Administrative Assistant, but at Teltek it is essential that every employee has a general working knowledge of all facets of the business. We make this possible by having new hires shadow technicians on service calls and projects. I had the opportunity to do so a few weeks ago.

I met Dave Fedorko, our newest telecom technician, at the job site at 9 o’clock and I helped stage the equipment inside the office. Dave began installing the Partner system, while I was tasked with installing phones and wireless headsets in each of the individual offices. My job might have seemed simple, but I had never set up a phone before. Additionally, Dave warned me that the headsets could be cumbersome because you have to find the right spot to position the automatic lifter – a small device that lifts and hangs up the handset when you make and receive calls from the headset and you have to find the right frequency for the headset to communicate with the base station. Thankfully, Plantronics provides a handy dial which you can turn to adjust the signal until the headset is paired properly.  After installing 6 headsets, I can safely say that I’m an expert on the matter.
