One of Teltek’s long-standing customers recently emailed me the following question and I thought it was a good one to share with our blog readers:

“Hi Chris, I think we need to talk about getting a conference-style phone as we still have speaker quality issues. I remember we briefly talked about this in the past, but can you please remind me what options are available and what the cost would be?”

A Polycom Conference Phone will definitely alleviate speaker quality issues for you as it offers superb quality microphones and speakers. Teltek has two main models, one is hard wired to the wall (power and voice) and costs $599.00, the other one is wireless (both for power and voice) and costs $699.00. Both models come with a display for caller ID, call duration, etc. The wireless model is very nice because you can move it from room to room, up to 150’ from the base station without having to move any cables. In your space, I would feel pretty good that it should work in most, if not all of the offices. One other consideration is that your telephone system needs to have a spare analog station port for the phone to connect into. I believe you do have a spare, but would want to have one of our technicians remote in and check it out for sure.

Finally, the installation and programming will take one hour; you will receive a 25% discount off of the labor because of the gold level maintenance agreement that you have (your cost with travel $158.75 for installation). Please let me know if you are interested in either of the two models above or if you have any questions/concerns. Thank you for your continued patronage of Teltek – we sincerely appreciate your business! Chris Nicoli
