Plantronics Replaces Wired Headset Cable for Avaya Phones

Wednesday, September 8th, 2010

The HIP Cable (P/N#61804-43) used for connecting H-Tops to Avaya 4600 series phones, has been discontinued. Tests have shown that the existing HIC cable (P/N#49323-44) offers more robust compatibility with the EncorePro and SupraPlus lines. Customers should, with immediate effect, be offered HIC cables instead of HIP cables. All support and compatibility documentation have been modified to reflect this change.

Use this cable to directly connect your Plantronics headset to specific Avaya IP Office phones, including the following models: 2410, 2420, 4406, 4412, 4424, 4406D+, 4412D+, 4424D+, 4424LD+, 4610SW, 4620, 4620SW, 4621SW, 5410, 5420, 5610, 5620, 6416D+M, 6424D+M. The Quick Disconnect (QD) capability allows the headset to detach without losing the call.
