Have you ever heard that expression, “It does everything but make coffee”? Avaya’s IP Office phone can now include brewing a decent cup of Joe among its many features!
Teltek’s IP Office technician Mark Baugher brought my attention to the YouTube video below. In this short film, a Russian Avaya technician demonstrates how they connected an IP Office phone to a coffee maker and then he brews a cup simply by pressing a “coffee” button on the phone’s display screen. Amazing!
Last week, Teltek participated in the Emerging Technology Center (ETC)’s annual Mini Golf Tournament. It’s a very creative and interesting event that is staged inside the ETC facility, perfectly suited for miniature golf with its wide hallways and short (fast) carpet. A few of the resident companies (including Teltek) were asked to design holes for the course and we gladly accepted that challenge!
Using phone and cabling equipment, Teltek’s head IP Office engineer, Mark Baugher, designed a hole inside the Teltek suite that was whimsical, yet challenging. Chris Nicoli, Rob Cox and Carrie Green represented Teltek in the competition, but since participants were not allowed to be on a team with co-workers, they were able to meet other business people and get in some great networking as part of the game.
The office of Edward N. Bodurian, M.D., P.A (Chevy Chase Heart) is a group of cardiology professionals who “provide comprehensive cardiac care, while focusing on health promotion.” This customer came to Teltek looking for a better product at a lower cost, and we delivered!
