Plantronics Replaces Wired Headset Cable for Avaya Phones

The HIP Cable (P/N#61804-43) used for connecting H-Tops to Avaya 4600 series phones, has been discontinued. Tests have shown that the existing HIC cable (P/N#49323-44) offers more robust compatibility with the EncorePro and SupraPlus lines. Customers should, with immediate effect, be offered HIC cables instead of HIP cables. All support and compatibility documentation have been modified to reflect this change.

Use this cable to directly connect your Plantronics headset to specific Avaya IP Office phones, including the following models: 2410, 2420, 4406, 4412, 4424, 4406D+, 4412D+, 4424D+, 4424LD+, 4610SW, 4620, 4620SW, 4621SW, 5410, 5420, 5610, 5620, 6416D+M, 6424D+M. The Quick Disconnect (QD) capability allows the headset to detach without losing the call.

Working Hard at Home

Forty years ago, most office workers woke up, ate breakfast, and went to work. At 4:50 pm, they packed up, grabbed their briefcases and motored home.

As the world continues to grow and the workplace changes at a blinding pace, working remote from home has shifted from a concept to the common place for businesses of all shapes and sizes and from industries that include hospitals, accounting firms, financial services and advertising agencies.

Teltek Employee Wows IT Vendor

The National Association of Area Agencies on Aging (N4A), is a long standing Teltek customer whose “primary mission is to build the capacity of its members to help older persons and persons with disabilities live with dignity and choices in their homes and communities for as long as possible.” Teltek aimed to help the N4A live up to that mission by implementing a Hosted VoIP Call Center, which allows the N4A to provide an improved level of service to its customers. After Teltek’s work was completed, N4A’s IT vendor expressed some kind words about one of our employees, Christy Miller:

“Chris, I just wanted to take a few minutes and provide some feedback on Christy’s performance on the n4a effort. [She] has been great to work with and very responsive to requests/enquiries
Early in the effort it was helpful to have you engaged, but as the needs moved from ambiguous to specific, Christy rolled onto the effort seamlessly allowing you to get in front of other work without a hiccup to the client. Christy is very keen on identifying those requests she can mitigate immediately and those we she needs to pull other SMEs in on.  In my experience this is more valuable than someone trying to figure it out as it helps to expedite work and keep it moving forward and not sitting idle.  – Price Beazley, Solutions Architect with Vangent Inc.

Teltek’s Crash Cart – Immediate Resuscitation for a Dying Telephone System

Has your telephone system taken a turn for the worse?  If your busy phone has gone silent with a vacant look on its faceplate, before you “pull the plug” let Teltek resolve your immediate telephony needs.

While a typical crash cart contains cardiac drugs and defibrillation paddles to resuscitate a dying patient, Teltek has developed a “crash cart” to support businesses as an immediate solution to an inoperable phone system, with the goal of keeping your business alive.  Teltek’s “crash cart” contains a processor to support 5 lines, up to 9 phones with caller ID, and voicemail with auto attendant to support up to 12 mailboxes.  However, this set up may be expanded.  Teltek not only provides the equipment you need, but the installation, programming and ongoing maintenance support as well.  During this difficult time, you and your business can assess your requirements and establish a budget to make an educated decision for a future telephone system.  Once a decision has been made, Teltek will provide a seamless transition to your permanent communications solution.
