Just as clothing fashion has its notable trends and outrageous moments, telephone design and technology have experienced a few memorable milestones that you may not remember or be familiar with. This fascinating photographic journey through time covers everything from heavy, but elegant candlestick phones to long-gone trends such as the Cabbage Patch Kid phone and the sleek design of today’s smartphones. We’ve come a long way baby!
The article highlights that while modern day phones are smaller and more sophisticated, they are still an integral part of communication and our lives. When telephones first appeared in homes, the article chronicles, it was usually located in the hallway. Over the years it moved into living rooms and then bedrooms and now most phones live in our pockets and purses!
