In honor of President’s Day, I thought it would be a great opportunity to introduce you to Teltek’s President, Debi Nicoli!
A little over a year ago, I wrote a blog on the Women of Teltek that featured Debi and our other female employees and their tremendous contributions to Teltek. She is actively involved in all aspects of managing our day to day operations and long term strategic planning.
Teltek’s President, Debi Nicoli
Debi is the wife of Bob Nicoli, Teltek’s founder. Bob started Teltek in 1997 and is now retired and works for us as a technician. Debi and her son, Chris manage our company and its impressive growth. In addition to being my boss, she is also an inspirational mentor and role model for young women who wish to be successful in the technology industry.
Our President assumed responsibility of the daily operations and financial management of the business in January of 2006, after deciding to pursue a lifelong goal of running her own business and upon Bob’s retirement from Teltek. Under her leadership, Teltek quadrupled revenues in 2006 and nearly doubled revenues in 2007.
Debi is responsible for financial management, business development and technology advancements, in addition to customer and employee relations, human resources and employee benefit matters here at Teltek. Her attention to detail and passion for being a small business owner has enabled her to execute the leadership skills that have driven Teltek to become an expert in telecommunications and technology support.
She developed Teltek from a sole proprietorship in Rockville, Maryland to the highly recognized Carroll County and Baltimore City technology firm that it is today. During the early years of Teltek, Debi worked alongside of Bob learning the technical skills of the industry and helping to establish the foundation of Teltek’s structure. These experiences have given her a firm understanding of what it takes to run a professional sales and service organization that is focused on building lasting customer relationships.
In what little spare time she has, Debi enjoys cooking, spending time in the mountains of West Virginia, and sitting on the beach reading a good book.
We are so fortunate to have such a capable and dedicated leader at Teltek’s helm. Hail to our Chief!
