On the evening of September 26th, a few members of Team Teltek attended Extreme Makeover: Home Edition’s Premiere Party at Notre Dame Preparatory school in Towson. The party was thrown to celebrate the airing of the episode documenting the construction of the girls’ home for the Boys Hope Girls Hope organization.
Teltek was one of the many companies that donated time and building materials to the construction project, which took place in mid-July and resulted in the 11,000 square foot residence revealed at the end of the episode. Great emotion filled the auditorium as guests watched the trials and tribulations of countless volunteers as they battled rain, a small earthquake and the clock to complete the epic project in record time.
During commercial breaks, there were speeches and additional donations of scholarships and funds awarded to the Boys Hope Girls Hope organization. The most touching moments came from the people who will benefit most from the beautiful new building; the scholar students, their parents and Kristy Norbert, program director of Boys Hope Girls Hope.
Teltek was honored to be part of the construction and the celebration. More information on Boys Hope Girls Hope can be found here.
