NEC DSX: Expanding Voicemail Capacity and Upgrading from IntraMail to IntraMail Pro

Today we are overviewing two new voicemail options that are available with software version 3: Expanding your voicemail ports and storage time and upgrading from the standard IntraMail to the IntraMail Pro version, both without having to replace your voicemail!

Expanding NEC DSX Voicemail Capacity:

NEC has designed the DSX Version 3 with two  things in mind – Growth and flexibility. They now enable users to expand the IntraMail Port Licenses allowing you to expand the IntraMail or IntraMail Pro port capacity up to a maximum of 8 ports without changing the CompactFlash voicemail card. You can add the licenses in any combination, but the total number of ports cannot exceed 8.

Here are the part numbers:

• 2-port expansion license (PN 1091048) – about $250 USD list price
• 4-port expansion license (PN 1091049) – about $400 USD list price

Thus by adding one of these licenses you can expand your original 2-Port or 4-Port Models to 4 or 8-Ports

Note:

• When purchasing IntraMail port licenses for your system, you’ll need to know the system’s 13-digit IntraMail license code and provide it to your dealer.  To obtain this code either go to any keyset: CHECK + V-MAIL or from the System Administrator: Connect to the system + Tools + License.
• DSX licenses are purchased from an NEC Authorized Distributor.

Upgrading from IntraMail to IntraMail Pro Upgrade

If you have an NEC DSX phone system with the standard IntraMail voicemail you can now upgrade to the Pro version without having to replace your existing Compact Flash voicemail card. Using the NEC license number 1091050 (about $400 USD list price) an authorized dealer can upgrade your system for you providing your business with double the message storage capacity and voicemail to email functionality.
