Recently, Teltek came across a very important piece of information that we would like to pass along to our blog readers. Paetec, one of our trusted service providers, has increased their “Paper Invoice Fee” effective, April 1, 2011. Here is the new breakdown:
1-4 pages = $8.00
5-19 pages = $13.50
20-49 pages = $19.50
50-99 pages = $28.50
100-249 pages = $35.50
250-499 pages = $45.00
500-999 pages = $85.00
1000-2999 pages = $125.00
3000+ pages = $250.00
The fee may not be immediately apparent to you. On the bill it’s included under the “Other Charges” on Page 1 of the bill and the actual description of the fee is found on Page 5 under the heading, “Payments, Credits and Other Charges.” The customer can opt to just receive an abbreviated invoice summary that includes an overview of the charges, important account announcements, and a remittance slip at no charge. The customer can get any other account details via the Paetec website (they have to create a login if they don’t already have one.)
So, if you have noticed an unusual increase in your monthly bill, this may be something you should look into. At the very least, a few trees may be saved in the process.
