Does anyone else have a “Holiday Hangover” today? Not necessarily from too much alcohol (but I wouldn’t judge you if it is from that) but that feeling that all the preparation for and buildup to the major holidays is over and now it’s just business as usual?
I’m in a fog and can’t seem to wake up out of it. Have had a cup of coffee and half a soda and still seem to be in a post-celebration stupor. I think the key to shaking off this type of feeling is continuous forward motion, so what’s on the horizon to look forward to? We have the Teltek holiday party later this week, which is always fun. There will be awesome post holiday sales, so I can do a little bargain shopping. Then New Years Eve Saturday night…that will be epic, I’m sure.
New Year’s Eve signifies the end of a year and a fresh beginning. It’s a time to reflect on the past and the lessons learned and plan for the future, at least the next 365 days! I like to take the opportunity each year to count my blessings. Despite the tragedies and challenges that each year brings, I am a very lucky Girl on Wire.
If you are like me and need to snap out of your holiday haze, take a minute to be grateful for what you have and for the opportunity to reinvent yourself or your life in 2012. I wish all of you much happiness and success 😀
