iTwin has introduced a device by the same name that allows users to share data over the internet without a dedicated web storage service or remote access software.
It’s called the iTwin because this handy tool consists of a pair of two USB keys that plug into each other and then can be separated for file sharing.
This award-winning $99.00 gadget can connect any two online computers anywhere in the world. Unlike a flash drive, there is no storage limit, so the only limiting factors are the sizes of the hard drives of the computers sharing the information and the internet connection speeds.
Using iTwin is effortless; plug it in to your computer as if it was a flash drive. A window will pop up and you drag and drop the files you wish to share into this window. Leave your computer with one half of iTwin connected to it and remove the other half (also make sure you stay logged in to that computer). When you are ready to share your files, simply plug the half you are carrying into any online Windows computer and your files are accessible!
If you lose either half, the iTwin can be remotely disabled so your information stays confidential. No data is stored on the device, it’s all on the computer. The two halves provide a secure AES 256-bit encrypted connection, allowing users to safely access their data. iTwin explains it as being two ends of a cable without the cable, just the connectors.
