Thanksgiving is an awesome holiday and it’s not just because of the Macy’s parade and the huge effort my extended and far-flung family makes to come together, I think it’s just a good idea in general. My personal philosophy is to be grateful and appreciative of what I have, regardless of my circumstances at the time and a holiday that exemplifies this sentiment is very necessary.
In these uncertain times, it’s important to stop and take stock of all the good things in your life. It’s not easy to do this every day, but at least take time on Thanksgiving day to try to see the glass as half full. If you must have an attitude, try gratitude on for size!
To get everyone in the holiday spirit, here is some Thanksgiving humor I found online:
Question: How many turkeys does it take to change a lightbulb?
Answer: Just one, but it takes 5 hours
Not feeling grateful yet? How about this one…
Question: What is the turkey’s favorite black tie celebration?
Answer: The Butter Ball!
Let’s try a few funny quotes…
“Thanksgiving, man! Not a good day to be my pants.” Kevin James
“Here I am 5 o’clock in the morning stuffing bread crumbs up a dead bird’s butt.” Roseanne Barr
At Teltek, we are all grateful for our fantastic customers, friends and partners and the relationships we have with them. After Superstorm Sandy, we feel fortunate that we were not hit harder by that devastating storm and that we were able to help our customers get back on line quickly.
Another reason to be thankful is that big milestone we hit this year, 15 years in business! I am thankful to have been with Teltek for almost three years 🙂
