In a past post, Time Saving Tips for Google: Gmail, we focused entirely on Google’s email tool. However, there are a TON of great tricks you might mot be aware of. Google is not only the most popular search engine in the world but you can also use it to:
- Use it as a calculator by typing in your equation to the search field
- Set a timer! Type in “set timer to __ minutes __ seconds” and let google do the countdown for you.
- Can’t muster the energy to type your search? Simply click on the microphone to perform a vocal search
- When searching, type a minus sign (–) before a term to exclude it from your search
- Get real time flight information simply by entering the flight # and airline
- Quick language translation? Type in the language you want to translate ex: English to Japanese and what you’re trying to say and voila!
- Weather forecast anywhere in the world? Type in the city and “forecast” to see what’s going on.
