Teltek Changing With Technology

Sep 21, 2011

Technology is changing and Teltek is right there with it! Several members of the Teltek team volunteered to take step it up and take a CompTIA A+ at Carroll Community College in Westminster, MD this fall. The A+ class will enable them to acquire the essential skills and information needed to install, upgrade, repair, configure, troubleshoot, optimize and perform preventative maintenance of basic personal Computer hardware and operating systems. This class is part of a series of classes offered by the state of Maryland’s Pathways to Cyber Security Program, a 3 year grant from the U.S. Department of Labor to increase the pipeline of skilled cybersecurity professionals.

“Our goal is to get our citizens back to work,” Kirkland J. Murray, President and CEO of Anne Arundel Workforce Development said. “This funding will address the urgent need to increase the pipeline of qualified workers in cybersecurity, while connecting our citizens to jobs in this high-growth industry. Our region will continue to be a leader in preparing our workforce for the field of cybersecurity.”
