NEC DSX System Software 3.41 Released for General Availability

NEC DSX System Software 3.41 Released for General Availability

NEC DSX System Software 3.41 has been released for General Availability on necdsx.com. This system software is also available from System: Update in the System Administrator. For those users who have a NEC DSX phone system, this newest release features impressive new functions including Wake Up Call, Email Synchronization and compatibility with the ML440 Wireless IP DECT handset.

The new Wakeup Call feature provides Wakeup Call capability for Hotels, Motels and other hospitality establishments. Wakeup Calls can be entered into the web-based Wakeup Call Manager at the facility’s front desk when requested from guests. After a Wakeup Call has been scheduled, DSX automatically rings the room telephone at the designated time. When the guest answers, a voice prompt announces the wakeup. If the guest doesn’t answer, DSX waits 30 seconds and tries again. If the guest does not answer the second call, the wakeup is cancelled and the front desk is notified by the system that the guest did not answer the call via Wakeup Call Status.

Email Synchronization synchronizes the status of a voice mail message delivered by IntraMail Email Integration with the message recipient’s email inbox. When a caller leaves a message on an office phone while the recipient is out of the office, the email      integration delivers the email, with the Sync when Read disposition enabled, to the recipient’s smart phone email client. After the email is opened by the recipient, the message is saved in the DSX. DSX Email Synchronization works with all types of email accounts (i.e. client-based and web-based). Email Synchronization requires IntraMail Pro.

The ML440 Wireless IP DECT handset, along with the AP20 Access Point provides the convenience of mobility in the home or office by combining the latest VoIP and DECT communication technologies. Since each handset registers in DSX as an IP extension, you can have a maximum of 32 handsets per system. The ML440 is a multi-line, wireless handset that provides superior sound quality and enables users to talk anywhere within the building, with minimal interference from other wireless networks. It operates on the 1.9 GHz band, offering sound quality that is superior to existing 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz handsets, and offers a number of advanced features and benefits.
