Girl On Wire – Celebrating Independence

Jul 2, 2012

With the 4th of July holiday two days away, it’s a great time to be thinking about how to mark the occasion. It’s easy when you live in Baltimore City, because we have the fireworks display at Inner Harbor and many smaller celebrations nearby. Many folks are starting their revelries on the 3rd, such as Federal Hill’s Bars & Stripes bar tour, an event benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project, USO and Federal Hill Hospitality Association. What an excellent way to maximize a holiday that falls in the middle of the week!

If you are looking for a more professional way to assert your independence or that of your employees, consider taking the steps that will enable them to work from home or other locations outside of your office. Allowing employees to telecommute can save money and improve employee satisfaction. Back in March, I cited statistics in a blog that supported the claim that most employees view the telecommuting option as a benefit!

It’s important to remember that employees are not the only ones who can see positive results from telecommuting. This practice can allow your business to remain functional in the event that your office loses power (as many businesses did following the storms this past weekend) or in an effort to save money on the overhead costs of running a brick and mortar office.

If this is a direction you would like your company to take, call Teltek today! As a telecommunications and technology specialist, our expert consultants and technicians are ready to spring into action. We have the knowledge and experience to set up you and your employees with the equipment you’ll need to get started and assist with establishing remote access to your server and the other tools needed to enable everyone to be fully functional out of the physical office.

Teltek is a Certified Avaya Business Partner, NEC Dealer and Microsoft Partner with two locations in the Baltimore Metropolitan area. We specialize in providing one call technology support for small to mid-sized businesses and nonprofits in Maryland, Washington, DC, Virginia and Pennsylvania.
