You can return the favor another time when they need a petsitter, ride to the airport or help taking out those brutally heavy window units at Summer’s end
4. Escape to a hotel: if you don’t have friends who can put you up, trust me this is money well-spent if you can swing it. Check sites like Expedia and Travelocity for deals
5. Have fun at a waterpark: slippery slides and wave pools will take your mind off the crazy hot weather for at least a few hours. You don’t even need to take a towel. When it’s 105 outside, you’ll be dry as soon as you leave the water!
