Our friends at Glass Jacobson recently announced that they are recognizing their golden anniversary by partnering with Junior Achievement to help support the future success of Baltimore’s youth. We have a great relationship with Glass Jacobson and recently celebrated with them at our co-sponsored Bourbon Tasting event this past May.
The accounting firm has committed to donating 150 volunteer hours over the next year, as well as fund raising for JA through upcycling, a term defined by Wikipedia as “the process of converting waste materials or useless products into new materials or products of better quality or a higher environmental value”.
Among other objects, Junior Achievement will re-purpose discarded electronic items, such as old cell phones and broken cameras by properly disposing of them or finding other uses for these materials.
