One of the really cool features of the NEC DSX phone system is the Temperature Display. This is an option that will show the outside temperature on the first line of the telephone display. The temperature reading is obtained from the National Weather Service and is based on the site’s Zip Code.
On July 3, 2012, the National Weather Service made a change to their website which made it incompatible with the way DSX users were accessing the local temperature over the internet. DSX System Software Version 3.41.05 provides an update which is compatible with the new National Weather Service website.
