Girl On Wire – Get Your Checkups!

Aug 6, 2012

So, something about me that I have in common with lots of other people is the simple fact that I hate going to the dentist. As a child, I had several teeth pulled and since then, I find even the most gentle cleaning to be uncomfortable and seriously annoying. It’s not like I have to be medicated to get into a dentist’s chair, but I dodge it as long as I can.

Back in my early 20’s, I decided that now that I was an adult, I no longer HAD to go to the dentist every six months (like I said, I was in my early 20’s) so in my infinite invincible wisdom, I took a five year “sabbatical” from dental visits.

I will never forget that first time back. The hygenist, Rhonda, could not wait to tell my dentist of 10 plus years about my extended absence. “Dr. Hess”, she loudly exclaimed as he entered the room, “Carrie has missed TEN CHECKUPS!”. Dr. Hess reviewed my films winked at Rhonda and replied, “That’s ok, Carrie and I will be spending LOTS of time together now!”.

Following that assessment was a series of “damage control” visits to address the various problems that occurred while I was on my blissful vacation from professional oral hygiene. I was reminded multiple times that most of the drilling that ensued could have been minimized or prevented if only I had shown up to the office to let them do their job.

Phone systems need checkups too. Based on the type of equiment you have, we will recommend quarterly, biannual or annual maintenance visits to make sure everything is working well and cavity free! These visits can uncover potential problems that could get worse over time if left untreated.

The object of maintenance (dental or technical) is to keep a system in tip-top shape before a repair may be needed. While on site, our certified technicians will ensure the software is updated and check on the connections and backup devices. They can also assist with programming changes, training and help new employees record their voice mail messages.

Call Teltek today for more information on maintenance plans for your Avaya or NEC phone system. Our service with a smile will keep your communication equipment grinning from ear to ear!
