The Avaya IP Office 8.1 Feature Pack 1 became Generally Available December 17, 2012. This latest release of IP Office delivers new real-time collaboration capabilities: Video collaboration via integration with Avaya Radvision Scopia® products, video for the Avaya Flare® Experience for Apple iPad and Windows-based devices, enhanced mobility with a new IP DECT wireless phone and integration with Microsoft Lync for click-to-call, directory access and more.
IP Office now easily and cost-effectively scales to 1,000 users per server (previously 384 users), and can network up to 32 locations.

*Radvision Scopia® video solutions–Collaborate with video on popular iOS devices. Meet with colleagues, clients and partners via video without compromising security.
*D160 IP DECT R4 wireless phone– this device lets you roam your building, campus or warehouse and stay connected. The Avaya D160 includes programmable buttons and is easily managed via the IP Office Manager interface. Deploy up to 384 DECT R4 sets on an IP Office system.
*Enhanced Avaya Flare® – call, check voice mail, instant message and see your colleagues’ presence from you Apple iPad or Windows device.
*Microsoft Lync Integration-Integrate IP Office with the Microsoft Lync platform for the ability to click to call contacts, move from IM to a call or access your corporate directory
*The Avaya Session Border Controller (SBC) supports enhanced security for SIP trunks, serving as a security and demarcation point between the IP Office and the SIP trunk service provider. Avaya SBC is easy to install and manage for increased security and flexible communications.
*Simple Backup and Restore-Automatically backup and restore messages, user settings, greetings and more via local or remote FTP. Schedule them when it’s most convenient: daily, weekly or monthly.
*Contact Store Voice Recording-Contact Store is now available on the new Linux-based server, IP Office Server Edition and the IP Office Unified Communications Module (UCM). Voice Recording Library Authentication provides secure, tamper-proof recordings.
*Secure Remote Services Enhancements– Enable your Avaya authorized partner to maximize uptime through secure SSL/VPN remote services. It’s now easily configured to securely monitor and access applications and other LAN devices on your network (available with IP Office 500 v2).
