On the other hand, a multi-segment HDMI cable connections uses more than one HDMI cable to connect from the original source equipment (such as connecting a projector directly to laptop or a computer directly to a TV). An intermediate device such as an A/V receiver or HDMI Switch can be placed-in-between the source equipment (such as a DVD player) and the TV.
