Over the weekend, I spent some time in Federal Hill. I don’t get over to that end of town due to the limited parking in that area at times, but always have a good time in that neighborhood.
My Saturday started with meeting a friend for coffee at Koba Cafe and after that we took my dog to Federal Hill Park. This park is one of my favorite places in Baltimore because of the amazing panoramic view of the city from the top of the hill. If you’ve never been to the park, but are familiar with the Inner Harbor area, it’s that giant green hill behind the Maryland Science Center. At the top of it you will find a playground, benches, a few monuments and one of the best views of Baltimore you will ever see. The site once featured an observatory and has been a public park since 1879.

As we sat on a bench admiring the perfect fall weather and this peaceful perspective of Charm City, I was reminded of the importance of stepping back every now and then to view the bigger picture.
