3 time saving tips to help you in using Microsoft Office 2013 PowerPoint:
- Make universal changes to your fonts – We’ve all been there . . . tasked with putting together a presentation by combining multiple slides from different decks. Maybe they came from different partners or departments but it never fails, the resulting deck you’ve created is a hodgepodge of fonts and formats from Times New Roman to Arial. Not to fear, the Replace Fonts feature allows you to update these fonts across the board. Go to the HOME tab and select REPLACE and REPLACE FONTS. Then simply select which fonts you don’t want with which ones you do.

- Create a custom tab – If you find that you’re using the same features from different tabs over an over again you can save yourself some time in the future by adding these frequently used features to a single tab. In PowerPoint terms, they call it “customizing a ribbon.” Simply, right click click on the tab’s up top and select CUSTOMIZE THE RIBBON. You’re able to select a range of features on the left side, and add them to the right side by first creating a custom tab, then creating groups and then adding the features you want to the groups in your new tab.

- Use keyboard shortcuts – You can use keyboard shortcuts to create and deliver your presentation. To access the ribbon using the keyboard you will need to show the “Key Tips” labels. Simply press ALT an they will appear in gray. Then use the keyboard to press the letter of the tab you want. As you continue through the tabs press ALT again to show the “Key Tips” labels for all of the features. This can be a great option for those that prefer keyboard entry to working with a mouse and be a real time saver.
