It is estimated that Apple could ship as many as 10 million new iPhones by the end of September.

Fedex is predicting a “surge volume event” of shipping requests between September 21 and September 24th due to the release of the phone and is mobilizing its workforce to handle the increased number of shipments.
Samsung Electronics announced that the iPhone 5 will be included in the devices named in their ongoing patent lawsuit with Apple, according to a joint case management conference statement filed in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California this past Wednesday. Apple will extend its own patent infringement suit to include the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 and Jelly Bean, the latest version of Android.
